Who We Are
Gypsum plaster has been used for decades in Southern Africa as a way to provide a high end finish to ceilings, sand and cement plaster and drywall.
For over 40 years, one particular global manufacturer has dominated the market leaving customers with very little choice on what product to use as well as very little innovation. It is for this reason that we started Casofour in 2017. Gypsum’s chemical name is Calcium Sulphate or CaSO4 which is how the name Casofour came about.
Having been founded by one of the largest distributors in the ceiling and partition industry and some of the best formulation expertise locally, Casofour started developing products built from the ground up to cater for the various skills and plastering techniques used around South Africa. A plasterer has learnt his or her skill based on how the plaster behaves, and therefore Casofour products had to cater exactly for these skills in order for the market to adopt the products. After months and years of spending time on site with plasterers we perfected our products to match up to expectations around setting times, rate of setting, feel and colour – hence the phrase “Plaster Perfected”.
Today, Casofour is probably the fastest growing gypsum plaster in Southern Africa. Our strong partnership ethos ensures we provide our customers with the highest levels of service and support so that they can in turn offer this to their customers. Our products are manufactured in Alrode Gauteng, and distributed throughout Southern Africa.
